News: we win two awards!

Adam Smith International won two awards at the British Expertise Awards - more than any other company. Our governance project in Syria was also highly commended. The awards recognise outstanding achievements of UK professional services internationally. This year, Justine Greening MP was the keynote speaker.

Our water and sanitation project in Sierra Leone won Outstanding International Development in a Fragile State (Non-Infrastructure) for driving institutional change and quickly adapting to the Ebola crisis. Several thousand health workers were trained and an additional 20% of the population now have access to a safe and reliable water supply.

Our solar project in Nigeria won outstanding International Development Project (Infrastructure) for electrifying 172 schools, and 11 health clinics and avoiding over 20 tonnes of CO2 and saving impoverished public institutions thousands in fuel costs.

Our governance project in Syria was also highly commended for pioneering the UK’s approach to stabilisation in conflict zones.

This is a significant achievement for Adam Smith International, recognising our impact worldwide.
