Support to the reconstruction effort

Some three months after the removal from power of Saddam Hussein, ASI advisers were among the first international teams working in Basra to design and implement interim public administration capability as a platform for reconstruction. This work involved building civil service payroll and personnel information systems, making emergency payments to civil service workers and carrying out essential work on sector specific capacity building and emergy projects.
 
ASI assiciate consultants Wally Weeks, who managed water sector reconstruction, was awarded an OBE for his efforts.
