Support to the Privatisation Unit

ASI was the primary adviser on privatisation to the Government of Nepal.  The project involved long-term support to the Privatisation Unit over a period of years, as well as specific assistance with the privatisation of certain larger enterprises.  These included tea companies, a power station as well as various smaller enterprises.  Tasks included strengthening the Government's Privatisation Unit, improving privatisation procedures, rewriting legislation, preparing enterprises for privatisation (legal and financial due diligence, information memorandum, etc.) and transaction implementation.
