Support to centre of government institutions and the office of administrative affairs

Region: South Asia
Country: Afghanistan

Having worked successfully on public administration reform immediately after the fall of the Taliban, ASI won a successor contract to assist with centre of government reform. The Office of Administrative Affairs is the critical independent body overseeing the reform of government in Afghanistan. Our support to centre of government reform crucially provided Cabinet with assistance to help it to function effectively as the Government's prime decision-making body and to simplify the centre-of-government institutional machinery.
We supported the establishment of the Cabinet Secretariat, delivered high quality induction and technical training, supported an analysis of and planned for potential reform to the decision-making framework and provided capacity building support to the Office of Administrative Affairs.
