Strengthening the Ministry of Justice, judicial cooperation with Israel

ASI assisted the Palestinian Ministry of Justice in creating a Ministerial Development Plan, with a new organisation structure and plans for reform of human and financial resource management. Also in Palestine ASI conducted a study to determine the Palestinian position on cooperation between the criminal and civil justice systems of the State of Israel and the future State of Palestine and specifically how legal cooperation would be implemented in Jerusalem. The completed report covered legal cooperation in criminal matters, civil matters and with respect to Jerusalem, and formed the basis of ongoing discussions with stakeholders.
