Review of Privatisation

ASI carried out a comprehensive review of Pakistan's privatisation programme from 1993-98.  The main focus of inquiry was to quantify the economic and social impacts of privatisation, particularly the impact on labour/unions.  The objective was to draw out lessons on privatisation for the benefit of other countries in South Asia.  The end product was a report analysing the impact of privatisation in Pakistan, and outlining lessons learned.
