ASI was appointed to assist in progressing privatisation reforms in Madhya Pradesh, initiating disinvestments and closure of loss making enterprises. ASI provided advice on the formulation of Voluntary Retirement Scheme payment procedures. More than 10,000 people have been relieved from work since the programme started. ASI also advised on the restructuring of MP Road Transport Corporation and MP Finance Corporation; the finalisation of the structure of the Technical Secretariat established to implement the reforms; and capacity building and training GoMP and PSU employees.
