Pension Reform

Croatia over the last decade has expereinced a number of changes to its pension system.  In this respect, the country moved away from pay-as-you-go system to one more in line with European standards, including private accounts and investment options. Adam Smith International advised the Government on a comprehensive reform of the state pension system.  The aim of the project was to review the functioning of the system and make recommendations on the basis of efficiency, equity and responsiveness to users.
