Nigeria Growth Challenge Fund

ASI has won the contract to establish and operate the Nigeria Growth Challenge Fund (NGCF). The NGCF is a demand driven facility intended to bring about improvements in Nigeria's business environment by strengthening the capacity of business, labour and media organizations to engage in policy research and advocacy. In particular, the NGCF will provide support to strengthen the evidence base for business friendly change and for private sector representatives to contribute effectively to reform processes. The support provided will comprise capacity development, support to operational costs and technical assistance with a view towards:

• Stimulating dialogue between government and business on issues of importance to broad-based economic growth
• Assisting business associations, trade unions and the media to conduct and access good-quality policy-relevant research to strengthen the evidence base for change
• Improving coordination and collaboration of pro poor growth activities amongst business and trade associations, labour unions, media and research institutes
• Supporting improvements in the leadership and governance of business and trade associations to enhance professionalism and sustainability
