DFID Minister Stephen O’Brien has praised the achievements made by Kieran Holmes, the Commissioner General of the Burundi Revenue Authority (OBR), and OBR staff. Minister O’Brien said in a letter: “I was very impressed by the progress that the OBR has made in such a short space of time, in particular the very strong revenue collection results.... Securing £85m more each year in revenues will be vital in enabling the Government to provide more services to ordinary Burundians....The OBR serves as a model for institutional reform in Burundi.” ASI has been the primary provider of technical assistance to the OBR since its establishment.
