Minister praises ASI’S NIAF project

DFID Minister Ivan Lewis praised highly the work of ASI’s NIAF (Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility) project in a recent meeting with the board of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN). Bello Suleiman, PHCN Chief Executive, commended NIAF on the quality and speed of its assistance.

NIAF is giving considerable support to PHCN, (commonly also known as Please Have Candles Nearby). The electricity distribution companies which make up the bulk of PHCN are very weak, largely as a consequence of absence of revenue due to theft and non-collection. ASI's substantial power sector team in Nigeria is being led by John Heath.
