Financial sector reform
ASI provides advice across the full range of financial sector reform issues. This work has involved, inter alia, Central Bank reorganisation and reform, financial sector supervision and regulation, capital market development, financial sector accounting reform, bank restructuring and privatisation, and insurance sector reform and privatisation.
Our support includes policy development and legislative reform: We have drafted a number of key financial sector laws and regulations in a number of countries. Instititional design and strengthening is another key aspect of our financial sector work: We have created new financial institutions such as capital market regulators, and have help modernise and strengthen moribund institutions. We have privatized a considerable number of financial sector institutions.
