Education reform

At ASI we believe that education is at the very core of development.

Education is not a privilege – it is essential for all citizens and it should be available to everyone, regardless of their gender, religion or ethnicity.  Education also creates choices and opportunities for people, reduces the twin burdens of poverty and disease, and gives a stronger voice in society to those who often go unheard.  For nations it creates a dynamic workforce and well-informed citizens able to compete and cooperate globally – opening doors to economic and social prosperity.

Education is a precondition for enabling developing countries to achieve the level of economic growth needed to tackle poverty and make sustainable development a reality.  It enables people to transform their own lives and the society in which they live.

ASI is experienced in tackling the issues of education service delivery in developing countries where resources typically fall short of the required level to meet objectives.  We are experts in improving the efficiency of the allocation of resources and seeking out creative solutions with the aim of making education available to all.  We have significant experience in the fields of teacher education reform, curriculum development, educational finance and policy development.
