DME Capacity Building

ASI has assisted the Department of Minerals and Energy in its role as policy ministry in the reform of the power sector.  This involved:

• Design of bidding arrangements for new generation investment.
• Support with implementation of competitive generation.
• Assessment of domestic and international investor appetite for generation.
• Running training seminars to expose ministry officials to international best practice.
