Communications Programme for Electricity Theft Reduction

ASI was engaged by the Government of the Dominican Republic to assist in reducing theft in the electricity sector. The combined level of non-payment and theft in the Dominican Republic at the time was higher than any other comparable country in the Caribbean and is amongst the highest in the world. ASI provided advice and assistance in conducting a communications programme targeting electricity users.

The results of the anti-theft programme have been impressive.
