Budget preparation support

ASI assisted the Ministry of Finance in reforming its annual budget formulation procedures in time for budget preparation for 2000. As part of this project, ASI also assisted the Ministry of Finance in setting up an Expenditure Monitoring Unit (EMU) to monitor all refugee related aid expenditure. Additionally ASI assisted the Government in its preparation for the September / October 1999 donors conference and negotiations with the IMF, World Bank and the EU.
