ASI Launches Innovative Extractive Industries Governance Training Course in Dubai, UAE

In late September 2012, ASI will convene government administrators, stakeholders from civil society, and professionals from donor organizations in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to deliver a high-calibre five-day training course aimed at improving governance capacity to enhance the management of natural resources in their respective countries.

The in-depth curriculum will also help ensure that:

1.     The sector generates wider economic and social benefits for all citizens;

2.     Governments realise the optimal financial returns from the sector, and;

3.     Resources are developed in an environmentally responsible manner.
